So, I know that self mutilation waivers are essentially nonexistant, yet, I want to check mine and the possubility that anyone on here thinks my situation is waiverable, or the best avenue to take this down in explanations.

When I was 12 or 13, I was convinced by some people that scars were a form of tattooing, and I wanted to try it, not thinking of the outcomes. I ended up using a jagged piece of plastic (from a plastic pencil I think) to scratch some symbols from two of my favorite books onto my arm (hard enough it bled and scabbed). I ended going to counseling for 2 sessions about a week apart, but, I never brought up why I did this because my reasoning at the time was stupid. I was never diagnosed with anything or given medication. THERE WAS NEVER ANY DEPRESSION OR SI OR HI INVOLVED WITH THIS, and to prove that, I have no issue going through any psych eval they can through at me. It was for aesthetic purposes, like a tattoo or piercing.

Since it was such light scratches, and scabs from it dissapated within 2 months, and it was a solo event. I have never had any history of mental issues prior to or post this event.

I also didn't remember this on my survey as it was such a short time a long time ago, so, when I go in for my examination, how does the process of forgetting this work?

Thanks!

PS I am applying for AROTC

EDIT: My parents noticed, that is why I went for counseling, and it could have been a jagged piece from an aluminum sheet too (like Insaid I dont really remember). I did tell the therapist that there was no SI or HI involved. As far as other waivers ill need go, I had eczema, which disappeared by 10, and I currently wear glasses and braces.
