Does anyone know when Burr will release his nomination slate? I've seen some people say it's taken about a month from the interview to those that have said it has taken a week.

When DS received his nom a few yrs back, his letter was in the mailbox within a few days... if I recall he had the letter by Wed or Thursday.

It can change yr to yr., so who knows this yr it could be a month. Sorry that doesn't help.

If Burr has kept with his past yrs. He typically does not over invite for the interview, they do their major weeding at the paper point. Iotw, those that are asked for an interview are basically being requested to make sure they match up in real life to what they look like on paper. I think for our DS's yr they only had 14 to interview for the 10 people he could nom. This is also why they can get the letters out so quickly...they don't have a lot to send from the interview.

Upshot if this is still his method, odds are with you because so few are interviewed.
 
Senator Burr's staff did weed out nomination candidate at paper point. The coordinator stated that he will send out a letter within a week. So we all should be receiving something this week or early next week.
 
Awesome! Thanks for the answers. From what I heard about USNA they only have one spot with 25 interviewees: stiff competition as it seems! Ill be checking my mailbox everyday until I hear something! Thanks again!
 
Waiting on Sen Burr's nom too

DS intereviewed last Sat. for USMA nomination. He was asked prior to being assigned an interview time if he had any noms. He responded that he did and if it would hurt his chances of being interviewed. He mentioned to the staffer that he was not sure if he was principal or alternate from congressman and that other nom was Pres. They still interviewed him but not sure of his chances due to prior nominations.
Nothing came in mail today!

When I went through the interview process the members of Sen Burr's interview panel indicated that I would hear back in "about a week, or so." In reality, I wasn't informed that I had received a nomination until nearly a month later.

Emailed nominations staffer yesterday and he said that he was trying to get together with Sen. Burr yesterday and would start notifications once slates are approved. Crossing fingers that DS is listed but best wishes to all candidates. It may be several days yet before anyone hears.
 
DS recieved email from Burr's office today saying he has been nominated to West Point. Email stated he should be receiving an official letter within the week.

I received the same e-mail today for the Air Force Academy!

Has anybody heard from the USNA slate yet? I'm assuming its out there already so I didn't get one, but just wondering.
 
USNA slate just sent out notifications. Got the same email as the previous! So excited!
 
DS just got an the same email!! He's going to the Naval Academy!!! What a long road it has been! Best of luck to all the other candidates!
