Looking for some info and feedback about North GA. I know it is a great school and their grads crush the ranger course compared to West Pointers. Also I will be transferring in from Georgia Military College with 2 years of ROTC done as a junior. Any insight on this? Also I am applying to USNA and USMA and have nominations to both but due to me being 21, 23 sounds better than 25. Just looking for some feedback and anything you want to say about the school...

Thanks....

If by info and feedback, you mean my learned opinion, I believe it is a great school. Have visited once already during the SA Day they held there, and can say I liked the people and the school, and plan on making at least 2 more visits (Leadership Challenge Weekend and J-LEAD), if not also an overnight visit.

As for your second statement, this is not a surprise. North GA is reputed to be one of the best senior military colleges and ROTC programs. They have their own Reserve/NG units on site and regularly crush the competition in marksmanship.

However, when basing my decision to put the academies as my first choice over North GA, I do so because, as far as academics, if you meet the requirements, your in. Focusing on being my best for an SA app (requiring whole person) will only secure an acceptance to North GA even more, so it is a "safety school" but also a very welcome inclusion to my list of possible colleges I may go to.

Other reasons I put SAs above North GA: available sports, summer opportunities, available majors, perceived academic challenge, etc, etc.
