That's a lot of FA.

Nearly 50% branching Combat Arms, impressive.

Quick question, I assume that those that went Reserve or National Guard had requested them since most that attend SMP's go AD. Did any cadets not get AD that wanted AD.

Thanks for the breakdown.

Yes, there were about 3 cadets that did not get AD but wanted it

I thought SMC's were guaranteed AD, or is that no longer true/pure rumor and myth?

I believe...

I believe its guarenteed so long as the PMS recommends you for active duty.

You are right, and that's something cadets entering a SMC don't always realize and can come back to bite them if they're not careful.

I don't think this happened a lot in the past but I have heard that it is happening more often now that things have become more competitive. I was just surprised that Norwich would have 3 that were denied Active Duty. I guess competitive is the right word today.

It would be interesting to hear how much this happened at the other SMCs.

Is it possible to get similar lists for the other SMCs? How did you get the Norwich list?

+1 wit Payitforward

This is a great list and appreciate it....more from the other SMC's would be great (and appreciated).

I am a current cadet at Norwich University and I went to the branching ceremony yesterday.

I'm curious if that includes any of the ECP cadets that transferred to Norwich to finish their degrees. Norwich recruits heavy at DS's miltary juco and one of the things they push is the ability to go active duty with pms approval.

Is Engineer considered combat arms? How about Ordnance?
