Does anyone know much about the Future Leaders summer camp held by Norwich? We and our daughter just decided she would attend this summer (between her sophomore and junior years). She thinks she wants a career in the service. We think this camp would be useful since, while not a boot camp, it is somewhat regimented and challenging, with 5:30 wakeup, drill, PT, weapons maintenance etc., and so if she does not enjoy her experiences there, maybe she should rethink her career goal. Or she may have a great time and learn a great deal about herself.

By all accounts and what I've read and seen the program looks reputable, although I imagine it's a huge recruiting tool as well. Does anyone have any familiarity or experience?

This site has been a valuable source of information for us, and we thank you.

I am vaguely familiar with this program. I've had a number of friends give positive feedback about it as well. One negative thing I've heard is that it is a bit costly, but I could be mistaken for another camp. I know my old h.s. JROTC program has had cadets go consistently for a few years now. Two of whom are currently at SMIs/SAs.
