One of the really unique opportunities available to you as a Cadet at Norwich is the Mountain and Cold Weather Team. It's a tight knit group of cadets who learn to take full advantage of their location in the heart of the Green Mountains in Central Vermont. The quote from this Third Classman is true of all of the military colleges and is at its heart one of the main reasons why one would choose to go and stay to graduate from one of these schools
"when you graduate you're not forgotten. You're always part of the company and the school".

"...Adam Kennedy—a soldier killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq—was an MCW member and 2004 graduate of Norwich, the country’s oldest private military college. Although they learned about the race just a few days before it happened, company members were eager to represent their place in the life of the fallen soldier....
[We went] to show that when you graduate, you’re not forgotten,” said Kevin Sciba, a third-year student from Hopewell Junction, N.Y. “You’re always part of the company and the school.”

Excellent post, Bruno. Equally appropriate this year as last.
