Norwich University Parent info

DS was awarded the National Scholarship and will be attending this fall at Norwich for the Corps of Cadets and football. I know he can get the room and board scholarship with it and because I am a disabled veteran will get DEA stipen as well. My only concern is keeping up to date on information and events that go on there. I have reached out to the parent association but they didn't help in getting me in contact with other parents like a Facebook parent page or forum. Also, since Norwich is a Senior Military College, is DS required to attend the NSI? Do any other Norwich parents have a page or forum where other parents can share information or experiences? Thanks in advance!

My son will be there too and playing football. Unfortunately he did not get the scholarship but hopes to earn one his freshman year.

Speaking of football, do you know if they have to report for practice earlier? He has been talking to Coach Russell but nothing as to when to be there. My son was literally recruited 3 weeks ago based on his highlight videos.

As far as I know your DS will have to attend NSI even though Norwich is a SMC. I am not 100% on this though.

In regards to parents page or forum, I believe in the past parents have setup something like that on here. I also believe a parents Facebook page will be created during the summer. If you do have any questions I can help answer them.

When he accepts his admission they will invite you to various face book groups
 
There's an "unofficial parent class of '23 Norwich University" group administrate by 2 parents from the class Of '22. It's nothing sponsored by the school but it's solid info sharing, uploaded files, and previous Rook parent experience and wisdom.
 
Didn't they always stagger? I wana say I remembered in the past each sport reported at a different date.
