Not sure about my physical aptitude for West Point.

Good job. You worked really hard and improved. You cannot ask for better than yourself for this application. Did you send it in? Send it in! They cannot pick you if you do not have a completed application--and you can take it again. DO NOT QUIT working out. Continue to improve. The pull ups will come. The only way to get good at pull ups is to do them all the time--and in sets.
Thanks I've already sent them.

OGKid96--That is so exciting! Keep working out and doing your best in school. Waiting to see your name in the appointments list. On R-Day you will be tested on pull ups, I don't think it matters how many you can do, but you should expect it. However, pull ups are NOT part of the Army PFT, so you will want to focus in your R-Day preparation on push-ups, sit ups (FULL SIT UPS, not those little crunches), and the 2 mile run. Very exciting. Good luck.

Do you have to meet height/weight requirements when reporting to West Point on the first day? Meaning do you get sent home if you don’t meet requirements on first day?

As a friend of mine is fond of saying on a forum for those going to Ranger School:

“Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.”

Oh this is a zombie thread. The OP is a 2LT now. No they won’t send you home if you pass the tape test. The standards are available on the web at a number of different pages.
