I have read that I should notify my nomination sources of my LOA. I have also heard that admissions does it for you. Can anyone comment on this?

First, congrats on your LOA techygirl! When did you finish your app and when did you get your LOA?

Did you get an actual snail mail letter or did you just get an email and a change in your Portal? My DD received an LOA, but has not gotten anything in the mail.
I've also heard that nom sources get copies of the "letter", but I'm wondering if they have stopped sending them to the candidates if the process is still the same for the MOCs.

Thank you! I finished my last item (interview) last week. I received an email and change in portal today.

My DD printed out a copy of her email LOA and sent it along with her Nomination application. She will also bring a copy of the email to her interviews. When my DS got his LOA 4 years ago it was snail mail and at the bottom of the letter it stated that a copy was being sent to his nom sources.... this leads me to believe that USNA will notify nom sources.

CONGRATS on YOUR LOA!!

USNA traditionally sends the LOA to MOCs. If you haven't sent in your MOC package yet, add it in. If you have, you can speak to the SA coordinator and ask if they have been notified, if not, could you send a copy of your LOA for the file. Since this just happened on your portal, give it some time on the MOCs end as they are busy and will need time to process it even if USNA sent it.
