Once you complete at least one SAT with essay USMA will superscore all your tests including ones without essay. As long as you produce a passing essay in November.
What would you say is a passing essay score?
I’m more familiar with ACT than SAT, ACT I believe the minimum is 7 but for SAT someone else will need to help. Good luck

With ACT you take your writing score and x by 3 then add that number to your reading and english scores, divide that number by 3 for your ELA score.
For SAT, I would recommend at least 5-5-5. I personally scored an 8-6-8 (analysis way weaker). But no matter what, do your best. It's the dedication that counts.
