Longtime lurker here, decided to compile a list of all possible summer cruises for your 2/C and 1/C summers, as I figured others could probably benefit from it as well. If anyone has heard of or gone on a cruise that I didn't list, please feel free to add on to the list.

Aviation Afloat
Aviation Ashore
Nuclear Power
"Conventional"
SOAS
EOD Screener
Sea Trials
USNA Y/P
NSI Midshipmen Instructors
FMF (Marine Options)
OCS (Marine Options)
JMSDF
OCONUS
FOREXTRAMID (Truthfully I don't know what makes this different from OCONUS)
Project GO

Nice of you to pull this together to help this community - thank you.
A couple ideas for inclusion from the Summer Cruise Official link.
  • Mountain Warfare Training. 2/C Marine Options spend 10 days in Bridgeport, CA learning the basics of land navigation. They practice these skills in the areas near the Stanislaus National Forest. This experience serves as an exercise in small unit leadership and is intended to prepare them for Officer Candidate School (OCS) the following summer.
Nurse-Option Midshipmen attend specialty cruises with land or shore based medical commands.
  • Midshipmen desiring to go into the Special Warfare community (i.e. SEALs) will be sent to Navy SEAL Officer Assessment and Selection (SOAS) for training and evaluation by officers and enlisted in the SEAL community.
  • Foreign Exchange Training of Midshipmen (FOREXTRAMID) Exchanges (from your list): This is a FOREX example: The summer before their Junior or Senior year, Midshipmen are able to apply for a Foreign Exchange (FOREX) cruise where you will spend part of the summer attached to a surface ship of a U.S. ally’s Navy. Relates to Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) from your list too.
I'm not sure/ others can hopefully clarify but doesn't OCONUS mean OutsideoftheContinentalUS, which is where FOREX do, and other cruises can take place? Upperclassmen cruises occur in every US Navy port and around the world. all OCONUS travel must be approved and there are some restrictions.

Please fell welcome to consider and add in any of these if you feel it would be useful.
