First, good for you for jumping on this. The application is a available I just looked. You need to look deep into page one for the “ Apply “ option. There is a lot of information on the web site you just need to spend time “paying attention to detail”. Not saying you are not doing this, the web site is the Navy way so dig. Stay on top of this and don’t forget to apply to the Naval Academy as well. You might not want to but two things help.
1. Although the boards are different and don’t talk they will know if you have applied to each opportunity. Candidate score points are a premium.
2. The academy will have you complete your medical ASAP. This is good in that if your lucky enough to be selected for either the Academy or NROTC you don’t have to scramble later. NROTC does not send candidates for their medical until after awarded the scholarship. The Academy has to have it completed ASAP because they start their candidates in June.
