NROTC 3rd Board - Selection Status

Hi everyone,

I know this has been posted in previous threads, but I wanted to know if I should remain anxious these next few days or should I assume I've been denied. My application states "No decision has been made on your application." Does this show up for all applicants? If so, when should I expect this to change?

Never assume based solely on your application page. It’s only late Dec. things won’t really start happening for another few weeks. As I recall my DS found out in mid Feb. and I think there were many others finding out around the same time frame.
 
"No decision has been made on your application." This is common for all, it will remain as such until a decision is made. My DS & DD page read out in this manner and they both made the first boarding. It takes time and the reality is there will be another 3.5 months to just sit back and wait. Concentrate on you classes in HS, your B, C, & D plans and other scholarship offers.

So how quickly would your status change in relation to you actually being awarded scholarship?

How did you know your DD and DS were boarded during the 1st board if their portal status didn't change before the 2nd board met?

Let me digress. They made the first board because their applications were completed and processed to FL about three weeks before the first board. This was also a conformation from the regional rep. Their application page also updated with “No decision has been made....”

My DS received word that he was awarded the scholarship sometime in I think Feb. My DD continues to wait; she knows this can take time. Her C & D plans are also complete. The only thing she is working on are other scholarships and her HS responsibilities.

In regard to seeing a status change I don’t recall when my DS saw that happen. He opened to check one day and there is was. Hope this helps and clears it up a little.

Place Holder: I asked my DS he said all he did was check the status once a week.

My DS is anxiously waiting as well. We are figuring the holidays have impacted the system/updating. My DS’s friend received notification two weeks after the second board (on a Monday.) Since next Monday is also a holiday, our thought is that notifications may be delayed, but that’s not validated... Only a hunch. Good luck and Happy Holidays!
