good question, as the current website still lists $3,000 as the stipend Vandy gives to scholarship recipients... see paragraph 7 http://nrotcvanderbilt.org/about.php Of course the webpage could be old and in need of updating. I found a page at USD NROTC website that still says NROTC scholarship awardees commit to FOUR years of active service. It's been FIVE years active for at least 18 months.

Thats awesome I got my 4 yr NROTC scholarship navy option to Texas A&M on 10/18 ans was accecpted to Texas A&M on 10/26

Does any one out there have an idea if Navy ROTC applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received? The next question is, of course, what submission dates have they gotten through? My ds completed his by mid-August. He is being recruited by several non ROTC schools for swimming, and NCAA first round deadline is Nov. 17. He remains committed to a Navy career, but may need to follow plan B to get there. . . Thanks for any shared wisdom.

My son just got his 4 year scholarship to MIT today! Now waiting and hoping to see if he's accepted!

His local coordinator called him this afternoon - so then we checked the website and it was on there as well!
According to the website, it said he should get something in the mail within 2 weeks.
