I sent in my application online for NROTC scholarship over a month ago. It still says at recruiter. I emailed recruiter and haven't heard back. I just finished my DODmerb for Naval Academy. Is the recruiter waiting for the results from DODmerb? Not sure what to do next.

Have you had an interview yet? At the interview, if it like my son's, you will complete some questionnaires.

Unless the process is changed this year, DODMERB is usually not completed by NROTC scholarship recipients until the offer is made. Having done it for USNA, you are ahead of the game.

What does your DODMERB status online say?

The recruiter needs to be sure the application is complete. He/she may be inundated right now or away.

I would recommend following up again in about a week.

Annette - You may cut and paste your posting; provide me your full name and last 4 of your SSN; and send and email to me at Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil. I can assist U better from there. Inthenayvy2008 is correct. The DoDMERB process is totally independent of recruiting, schoalrship award, and offer of appointment to USNA. Ultimately, you must be medically qualified or granted a medical waiver, but the the other process occurs independently:thumb:

My daughter has had her interview with the Naval NROTC coordinator and completed her physcial a month ago. Once you apply, DODmerb kicks the order to Dodmets, and they will email you a letter telling you what medical and optomologist facilities to go to.
You can receive an offer before the physical, but it is contingent on passing the medical and actually getting acccepted into the University choices too. The Navy has no authority over this so pick schools that you know your SAT scores and extras can get you into.
Nothing is in set in stone.
Keep emailing and calling your NROTC contact. The full force of applications are now coming into them. Tell them you have not received the Physical paper work yet.

PAPARENTUSNA, My son sent his application in online well over a month ago. SAT scores were sent directly from college board to NROTC on Jun 5th. He checks the site everyday and it says "at recruiter for initial processing". He emailed the recruiter last week and called and left voice message yesterday. Does the recruiter have to activate the application so that transcripts are sent and recommendations are emailed?

Recruiter emailed yesterday and said they werent processing any applications in Central Florida until Sept and that each applicant will be contacted when access to the website has been restored.
