I read on the Embry-Riddle ROTC page that scholarship slots fill up quickly at Daytona Beach. I turned in my application in August and have the "goods" to be competitive for a scholarship. ER is my first choice with a tier 2 program of study for the NROTC scholarship, but my status is still undecided on my application. Should I be concerned?

I understand some ROTC units may have a "say" in candidate selections. Is that correct? If yes, is it helpful to set up a campus tour to visit with someone in the ROTC unit?

Welcome to the waiting club! DS application complete late August for the September board. Maybe there will be some new board results before Christmas? Good luck to all candidates.

Keep in mind that the new NROTC policy, if I recall correctly, is that the scholarship will no longer pay for costs incurred by the flight program. I wasn't aware of that until last week so I just thought I'd throw it out there.

DS will be withdrawing his slot at ERAU and will not be accepting his NROTC Scholarship, so there will be another slot open. Not sure when that will happen though.

Thank you for the info on w/drawing at ERAU. Maybe I'll be the lucky one to slip into that spot. Wondering what tier/what program of study was he interested in?

Also, heard about flight fees not being included in scholarship and have been looking into other scholarships towards those fees.
