NROTC at VMI

Does anybody know how good of a chance you have to commission into the Navy from VMI NROTC? I will more than likely be in the College Program. I really want to be a Naval Officer. I am considering majoring in Chemistry, Biology, or History. Also, I have an interest in the USCG DCSS. Does anyone have any info on how competitive it is to be accepted for it? This would be my second choice if I cannot commission through NROTC. Do any current or prior cadets have friends that have gone though this program, or went through it themselves?
