Hi all,

I am completing my NROTC essays, and I am wondering if it is necessary to indent our paragraphs. I know it’s a silly question, but it seems that indentations and pressing “ENTER” contribute to the character count. I want to know whether I should plan around that, or if it’s okay to just have one unindented block of text. I would ask my NROTC recruiter, but she has not been responding to my emails.

Also, should “Naval Officer” be capitalized?

Thanks

My DS did not indent and was offered a NROTC, AFROTC, and AROTC scholarships. I think if you have the extra characters under the 2000 character limit and want to indent, then go for it. But if you need the space to convey your answer, then don't worry about it. I think he hit enter at the end of each paragraph though just to demarcate the separate paragraphs. Hope that helps you.

In terms of capitalizing Navy Officer, they Navy and others do capitalize - here are a couple of examples, so I would.

Great that you are finding a path to serve our nation and best of luck in your applications!
