This week (16 Feb-20 Feb) the USMC will fill their "late" NROTC MC option scholarships. I'd say you might hear something in early March for results, good luck to all! :thumb:

The boards have signed the areas of 8 and 9 and results should be posted soon, check your status on line.
Nothing yet for the other areas from the gal that answered the phone....

My son just called me with this info: his USMC Recruiting Captain called today and he received the NROTC-MC Option scholarship.
He told the Captain he'd make a decision by this weekend but that he was leaning towards USMAPS. The Captain understood and said it would be a hard decision but he would understand if he took the USMAPS offer.

He did tell him that either way, they would be at his school with a big (mock) check for $150,000 from the Navy for the awards evening at school. :thumb:
I thought that was cool and my son is overjoyed. I wonder how the school will feel about it?

Another strange thing, I just check his NROTC web page and it has changed but it now says "Your electronic application is not complete" ???

MROTC

Just check my sons application....changed from at selection all items processed to waiting for math teacher evaluation to be processed. Now I am confused!

My sons says this:

"Your electronic application has not been completed."

Just yesterday it said everything had been complete and at the Boards for selection...or something on that order. It said that for months now too.

Mine says the same and I know nothing about my scholarship status.

My son's also says the same. I'm glad to hear that we are not alone!

Mine says that too.

However I got a call today saying that I received the scholarship. So you guys might just be in really good shape!

maximus, my online status was pretty messed up during the selection process in november too. I was told it was no big deal, but if you wanna play it safe call the captain your son worked with.

The Captain called my son today and told him he was awarded the NROTC-MC scholarship to: The Citadel, VMI and Virgina Tech.

My son called from school later (after talking to the Captain) and asked me to look it up on line. I did, as I did last night, and it had changed from the evening before, to what I posted above.

Sorry for the confusion.

My son's online status had previously indicated that all items were processed but now it indicates that an item, also the math evaluation, is waiting to be processed. Not sure what to make of this but I asked my son to give his captain a call in the morning. this is a bit nerve racking.....

Read the rest of this thread... it doesn't mean anything... math evals weren't even required this year.

check my status every day, and today..i was missing math.
Im going crazy here waiting to see whats up

My son's went from "All items have been processed" to "Waiting for math evaluation"---this appears to be good news, but who knows. Waiting....waiting....waiting....

Hopefully, each of us that have the words "awaiting math eval" will receive the same good news as Gcokeley! Good luck to everyone!
