NROTC MO Application Status

Based on my experience when my son went through the application process several years ago -
1. NROTC MO is notoriously slow at updating portal status - if they do it at all.
2. My son did not get a negative reply until mid-April.
Keep working plan B. Hopefully it will include NROTC MO as a college programmer... that's how DS is serving as a 2nd Lt today in Okinawa.... with visits to Tokyo, Hong Kong and who knows where else before he leaves in 18 months. He loves his Marines and leading Marines is all he ever wanted to do. (Well, before NROTC he just wanted to BE a Marine).

Ditto-ish to what Kinnem posted.

1) The first go round, the portal never updated. The 2nd go around, it was notoriously slow.
2) The first go round, my son never got any reply. (The officer at the RS working his paperwork retired)

Keep working on all avenues...even those beyond the scholarship.

My son reapplied for the 4 year scholarship as soon as the application reopened. He also enrolled as a college programmer. He received the 4 year scholarship during the first board -- while he was a college program midshipman. He is now coming to the end of his junior year and also has an aviation contract.

The goal is to be a Marine Officer -- taking whatever route you need to take.

It can be an anxious process for all involved -- as someone else alluded to. If you're interested, here is a link to my son's experience.

If you want something -- persevere.
