NROTC MO Results

Congratulations on your scholarship! I was also on the early board. I am still waiting to hear back about anything, and both my recruiter and officer have been very hush-hush. My stats are as follows, for anyone curious:
-4.34 GPA, 33 ACT. Rank 16/385. 10 AP courses.
-300 PFT (24 pullups, 115 crunches, 17:51 3 mile)
-3 school honor society/club presidencies, SGA, other various leadership positions
-Boys State and Alabama Governor school
-Multiple varsity letters in track, cross country, and swim team
-Some volunteering with different organizations.

Somewhat nervous knowing that results are starting to go out and I haven't heard anything, but I am excited! I am hoping to use my scholarship, if i were to be awarded one, at Boston University.
Does anyone know how the medical process works, especially for waivers?
Dang, I know I'm behind you then. This thread is really giving me sweaty palms...
4.24 (school limits number of AP classes)
1530 (800 M 730 R) (doubt it means all that much in terms of potential to lead Marines though)
293 PFT (22 P, 108 C, 19:01)
Ton of Church-related service and leadership
More school campus ministry stuff including mission trip to Guatemala
PT at RSS during off season
Lettered in tennis since freshman year
Freshman football (concussion)
XC (never lettered because I suck for a San Diegan)

I envy your chance to go to Boy's State. That's a huge feather in your cap. Good luck to all, and I hope to see some of you guys in the fleet if we get it!

The DoDMERB process almost always begins only after you have been awarded a scholarship. There are several posts (probably in the DoDMERB forum) as AROTC-dad that have a link to info on how the waiver process works. I suggest yo use the search function to find them.

Does anyone have any updates?? I heard results should be out this week but it’s already Thursday?

Each RS District notifies in different ways at different times. I think my son got notified with a conference call the week or so before Christmas.

Applicants hear one way or the other, right? If it's a no this time, they don't just leave them hanging?

If they get a 'No' on anything but the final board (there are only 2), then they are simply rolled over to the next board without any notification (generally speaking). If they get a 'No' from the final board they are notified. You may not hear a positive or negative reply until April.

My DS didn't hear a 'No' until April 10 or something like that. Fortunately we were locked and loaded on plan B and had plenty of time to execute. One doesn't need to respond to these colleges until May 1 and you generally don't know about financial aid to make an informed decision until April 1.

Patience is the order of the day.

I think my recruiter alerted me a bit early. Official selections are still not out so there is no need to worry. They’ll most likely send updates in the portal in the next coming weeks. Sorry for jumping the gun on this

There’s no need to worry, I think my recruiter updated me a bit before official results have been posted. You seem to have solid stats but no one knows as of right now. The portal should be updated in the coming weeks with official notifications. Sorry for jumping the gun on this.

No problem, I would get excited too. As of right now my recruiter hasn't heard anything so I suppose official word comes out district by district.

My recruiter told me that they have results but are waiting for the green light to release them. They only release results on weekdays is what i heard too:)

Did anyone's portal change? Mine now says
"The NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application.
Missing Items
  • All required items have been processed.

Selection Status
No decision has been made on your application."
Instead of "at Marine District Board for Selection" or something like that. Does that mean it was moved into the next board or something?

Hmmm that’s weird, mine is still the “at marine corps district board pending decision”

Does anyone know the selection board dates?
The early board convened around thanksgiving, but there is no set date for results. I heard they should be VERY soon ( i emailed the official NROTC board and they said results will be out befoy January at the latest). The second board deadline is in a week or two and that board convenes later this spring. ( results for the early board last year came out December 13 and results for the second board in 2018 came out March 28)

I hope this helped!!

Yes, my son's also changed and now reflects school choices in the 'blue screen' with the same status. Also on pins and needles... we wait patiently together.

I received the call from my officer earlier today. Let me know if anyone is planning to use their scholarship at BU (they offer a full r&b grant to NROTC scholarship recipients)!

What state

That is correct! District Captain called me today to present me the great news. Hard work paid off big time! Congrats to the 21 other guys on the Western Seaboard as well for getting it in the first board.
