Hi, I was awarded a 4 year NROTC MO scholarship and recently disqualified for a history of opthalmopathies. I am aware that all waivers are different and very dependant on all sorts of factors. I was wondering what other candidates experience was like with waiting for NROTC Marine Option waivers.

Unfortunately, you answered your own question --- "I am aware that all waivers are different and very dependant on all sorts of factors." AN answer, won't help you with YOUR answer. Sorry. :wiggle:

The criteria for ANY waiver is the degree of severity; prognosis for worsening/improving; the impact on functionability; the impact on other manifestations; yada, yada, yada.

Example:

A broken arm the day before induction to a Service Academy means, the applicant won't be attending the Academy that cycle.

The same broken arm, in August, "should" have no bearing (assuming no complications) for entering the same Academy next July. :wiggle:
