I want to know the usual time it takes between the start of application for the nrotc scholarship navy option to the point where someone receives an officer interview. I have been waiting since December.

Aren't the interview reports due in 2 days? You might want to call the scholarship office directly to see what is going on instead of emailing your recruiter.

For general information about the NROTC program or the scholarship:

Yea, something's not right here. The deadline is looming. You have to find someone fast to have any chance of getting in this year.

Place a call to the PMS of the NROTC unit of the college on your list closest to home and explain the situation. Hopefully they can get you interviewed quickly.

Yes the deadline is sometime this week. My DS had some issues with getting the officer to respond and set up an interview. Mostly because by the time DS was done school and practice the Officers day was done, so he could never speak with him. Reluctantly I intervened and was able to set up the interview for this week.

Professor of Military Science - the military personnel assigned to ROTC units. Contact your nearest NROTC unit to ask for an interview.

Okay. I was wondering, do they decide whether or not to grant you an interview after considering you're medical records? my recruiter said that's probably why I haven't gotten a call. He said if they disqualify me before they schedule the interview, then i wont get a call.

How would they have seen your records? You don't usually go to DODMERB until after receiving the scholarship.

my recruiter said i needed to provide my records with everything else so thats what i did

varying degrees on knowledge in recruiters.....any active duty Navy person (more senior the better) can give you an interview....there are forms that need to be filled out and returned to the recruiter.....my neighbor did DS interview. He was an active duty Commander.

Are u still looking for that NROTC scholarship to Auburn. Call the unit there they may be able to help. Time is of the essence.

my recruiter said his division officer has to be told to give me an interview. he didn't say anyone could do my interview

When you say "recruiter" are you speaking about the local recruiting office? Is he an enlisted recruiter or a NROTC specialist?

The DoDMERB physical is independent of the selection process, so that shouldn't be a factor.

As aquafox suggested above... call the scholarship office. You could call the PNS (Professor of Naval Science in your case) office at the unit to get information, but they may not know of your application since the unit isn't notified until placement.

You could check your portal for hints on what's going on, but ultimately you need to contact a person over the phone to see what's going on.
