Hello everyone, I am a senior in high school and I am currently in the process of completing the steps necessary to be considered for an NROTC Scholarship. I just completed my AFA today and was not too thrilled with my scores but my interview is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Therefore, I am going to try and prepare myself as much as possible for this so that I receive as good of a recommendation as I can. I was just wondering if anyone has gone through the interview and noticed anything they wish they could have done better or recommend me doing.

Thank you

  1. Dress properly.
  2. Bring a current resume
  3. Know why you want to be an officer.
  4. Have a few questions of your own ready to ask.
  5. Be on time.

One more thing.

When asked a question, take an extra second and think about how you are going to answer and what you are trying to convey.

Don't just blurt something out.

Good luck!

Don't be afraid to smile, enjoy yourself, show some personality - doesn't have to be all serious.
