NROTC Scholarship Awarded

I have been told that the results of our fourth board are now in the system. Emails are going out or have gone out as I type this. There were 65 selectees for this board. Five of those were Tier 3 and the rest were Tier 1 or 2.

Congrats to those who made it on this round. Next board starts on this upcoming Monday!

Any insight to ISRs? Still nothing on our end.

DS was 1 - first choice school placement. HOWEVER, he didn't get accepted into the engineering school at his placement school - was deferred to a second-choice major. What's the probability of approval w/a placement school change?

Do you know how long it takes for the emails to be sent out? Still nothing on our end, and his portal page still says "no decision has been made." Thank you.
 
Placement school changes are very easy. And so long as the major remains a Tier 1 or 2 that will still be no problem. If dropping down to a tier 3 major he would need to check with the email address included in the acceptance email.

That is usually what that means. If he wasnt an ISR I would say he could be an alternate but ISR doesn't work that way. The recruiter may know if there was a delay in sending his package forward.

The portal says that all items have been received, and it said that before December boards as well. The recruiter doesn't seem to know much, but I'll have our son check in with him. Thank you.

Did the notification indicate you had to respond within a certain amount of time? I assume you haven't seen any updates in NETFOCUS? DS had to select whether to approve his within 30 days (if I recall correctly) after he was notified in December. He accepted the scholarship via the NETFOCUS status webpage. https://netfocus.netc.navy.mil/nrotc/candidate_app/status_scholarship.aspx

ISRs are a whole different animal - same scholarship, but bypasses board for an immediate selection. It’s a wonderful gift with a long waiting time for confirmation.

I should have been clearer… NTAG CO told DD verbally she was selected on 11/30 and we would have to wait for the formality of all the paperwork being approved & signed off on . She has never been given any options to accept the ISR in her netfocus Portal .
 
Our DS is in the same boat. He was congratulated in early November after his ISR interview and told his paperwork was sent down in late November. That click of the mouse can get really loud sometimes :) The portal status hasn't changed but for a few hours a few weeks ago --- still processing. Congrats to all that received an email.
