NROTC Scholarship Cross-Town Affiliate

So about one month ago I received the NROTC Scholarship to UCLA, however, I was rejected from UCLA. The UCs that I have been accepted are UC Irvine, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, and Davis. Of these, Davis offers a cross-town affiliate with UC Berekely however, I would like to attend either Irvine or Santa Barbara. Is it possible for me to attend one of those schools while taking NROTC at UCLA, or USD? Irvine is relatively close to UCLA so I feel that it would be reasonable, however, UCI and UCLA are not listed as cross-town affiliate schools. Thank you!

As you noted, you can attend Davis and do NROTC at Berkeley. In any case you cannot do NROTC at UCLA unless you attend there. UCLA has no arrangement with Irvine (evidently) to allow this. I suppose you could contact the unit at UCLA to confirm this. Web sites sometimes have errors.

I'm not sure how often UC Davis student have to go to Berkeley for classes, labs, PT, etc, but that commute can be a real bear and is something you will definitely want to research if you consider that option.

The BEST answer to the question will be from the cadre at UCLA NROTC.

Irvine and UCLA are not an easy commute either! You are dealing with the 405 freeway here.
