NROTC Scholarships

Sooooo, haven't seen anything here (I don't think) about NROTC Scholarship winners (Navy option) since like November or so? Or maybe I missed some. Or maybe there have been some that just aren't in this forum. Any new recent offers here? [emoji572]
I received confirmation of my ISR NROTC scholarship on Friday 2/23, and I am placed at Villanova University, my number one choice. I have also been accepted to USD, Stanford, Rice. Still waiting on USNA.

Congratulations on the ISR and excellent placement and acceptances! Selfish ask... at what point was your package received at NTSC/Pensacola? Just curious how long it took for you to get placed. DS was awarded the ISR from his NRD CO two weeks ago. His package just cleared CNRC (Tennessee) and is being sent to Pensacola this week (portal status still shows it's at CNRC, but the program manager e-mailed and said it's all good and going to NTSC this week). Just curious about how long it should take for Placement and confirmation from there based on your experience, at least... Thanks in advance!

My DS' experience last year was he was awarded the ISR in early September and received confirmation in November. Since that was early in the selection process the boards were only meeting once per month. They tend to schedule more frequent boards in March and April, so I wouldn't be surprised if your DS received his response sooner.

And the boards light up! Congrats to all the winners. Now the hard part begins. Bravo Zulu!

Congratulations to all. NSO, and the work begins; understand and know your bearings. Take the tough right over the easy wrong the 4 years goes by fast.

DS received his appointment a month ago to USNA. Still waiting to hear on NROTC. From all the posts, am I correct that there is a possibility that decisions are coming down this week?

Do they post all the notifications on the same day for each board or do they keep on releasing notifications until Friday?

DS received a NROTC to University of South Carolina.

Congratulations! He'll love it there. Go Cocks!
He might want to look at their web site here: http://www.sc.edu/nrotc/
You should head there for some home football games. The unit hosts a great tailgate. I usually kicked in $20 as a donation. You don't even need to get tickets to the game because they have a portable satellite dish and a large screen TV right there... along with food, soft drinks, water, and beer.

Congratulations to all...

Swimmermama1,
Go Cocks, my DS will commission out of there this May (56 days), he is 2 years behind Kinnem’s DS.
I will need to turn in my hat for my DD new unit in the Fall. South Carolina will have a new skipper in the Fall as well; they are in transition. The XO has a good grip on the unit.
