NROTC Status

Yes you are correct. My DS was in the same boat so we emailed Pensacola and they said all of these results have been uploaded and he will be rolled to the next board. He is disappointed but I told him that there are still several opportunities. Any thoughts on redoing the SAT or the PT test prior to the January board? He had a 1410 SAT and did pretty well on the PT test (maxed pushups and situps but his run was a bit slow)
Thanks for the info that it is official and on to January Board it is. DS is disappointed as well, but we knew this was going to be a journey. DS is signed up for SAT in December so you have to figure any improvement can only help. Best of luck for your DS on the next round too.

@skillsjc Being rolled to the next board is extremely common. Happens to hundreds, if not thousands, of applicants after each board. He should not get discouraged. Not every scholarship is awarded by the early boards and most will be awarded at later boards.

I truly am unsure... these are the links I find. I also would like to know ;)
CNRC and CNSTC and CNETC are all very different. Commander Naval Service Training Command owns the NROTC program (and in fact, also owns NJROTC program). NSTC works for NETC. Commander Naval Recruiting Command is a separate entity. They shepherd the NROTC applications. If your status indicates the application is with them, contact your 'recruiter', scholarship coordinator, or whatever name they are going by. Once NRC has everything they need to make an application complete, it is transmitted to NSTC. NSTC will also review to make sure the app is good to go and then get it in front of the next board. NETC has no real involvement in this NROTC application/selection process other than he/she is the 2-star that oversees the 1-star NSTC commander.

My DS’s recruiter reached out after this last board and indicated that there are 8 more boards (for NROTC) with the next one mid-December.
Thank you for this info 😊!

DS' package is at CNRC and is awaiting "missing items". DS contacted (email and phone call) recruiter who said corrections will be made next week, and be ready for the (next) board !!

@ Go Dories! great advice and explanation of command’s roles ...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone 🍁
