Is there any training or anything like it the summer after senior year of highschool if you are doing NROTC?

I'm not sure if there's a standard training/orientation, but I know at my unit at Oregon State there's a "new student orientation" for all NROTC midshipmen held a week before classes start. I think, though, that this is handled by each individual unit. You could definitely contact your school's unit and check :thumb:

The University of South Carolina is the same way, a week or so before classes start they hold an "orientation" as well.

First just like going to plebe summer you need to be in the best shape that you can be in. You will be doing PFA/PFT that will require passing scores and then maintaining and improving on them. The orientation week is to introduce the new members to the unit and military style of doing things. Not everyone of the new freshman may have been a JROTC cadet and have no knowledge of rate/rank, saluting, drill and this is their time to learn it.
