How hard is it to get a nomination from NROTC and what percent of nominations get appointments through NROTC?

appointments from ROTC programs are limited to 20 max. That number includes JROTC. They usually actually take a bit less than that. You can do the math. Of course it's not impossible either.

I believe there can only be three nominations per NROTC battalion per year and it is at CO's discretion on who (if anyone) gets them. As kinnem said, only 20 appointments can come from the NROTC/JROTC nomination source. This is why USNA always tells candidates to apply to ALL nomination sources one is eligible for. Thus, you aren't limiting yourself!
