Anyone know if or when the boards are continuing? Thanks! I assume they are, but wanted to ask. As a Navy family we know the work continues! And thanks to everyone checking in. Hang in there folks!!!

Thanks for asking, I would really like to know as well if anyone has any information.

Last two boards were cancelled. One final board will be conducted.

If you don't mind my asking, I have two questions. 1) Do you have any insight as to when this board will be held and/or when final notices will be sent? 2) Will this board include 4-year scholarships or has that ship sailed? I was the recipient of one of the infamous "sent in error" emails in mid-February but have not heard anything since. I'd like to start executing plan B as soon as possible if there's no hope for a scholarship now. Thank you for all the info.

Best I can answer 1) is April. The response to my inquiry did not indicate specific week.

2) Yes, this is for the 4-yr national scholarship (or technically 3-yr if you are a currently a mid who re-applied for the national).

I can't answer the question about when the board will be held, but all NROTC national scholarships awarded out of high school and to college freshmen reapplying are 4 year scholarships. So yes, that is what this upcoming board will be awarding. The 2 year and 3 year side load scholarships are awarded by a different board.

Thank you both. This board has been supremely helpful for some form of new information every once in a while. The long stretch without a follow-up to the most recent email led me to believe the email may, in fact, have been sent intentionally.

Someone compiled the information below on an AFROTC thread, wondering if there will be a similar reduction in NROTC scholarships? While incredibly difficult for those still waiting, budgets may be shifting to cover COVID costs. Applicants be kind to yourself and have a serenity moment - lots of factors outside of your control going on in the world.

So, 1982 were awarded, down from 2534 last year, a 22% drop.
Selection rate was 58.5%, well below recent historical norm of 70-80%.
Type 1 - 154 (last year 284)
Type 2 - 299 (last year 437)
Type 7 - 1529 (last year 1813)
