Hello! I've been trying to find an answer and just can't seem to find anywhere so thought I'd check here. Does anyone know how I can find out the number of NROTC Nurse Option scholarships that were awarded this year, for YG22? Thank you!

I don't know that the number of prior nursing scholarships is available publicly. The scuttlebutt on the foums is that there are few nursong scholarships these days. Nursing scholarship is handled by a separate board, full of medical officers as you might imagine. It only meets once or twice a year, at most. If you're interested in NROTC nursing you should apply. I think Army has more opportunity for nursing scholarships, at least in raw numbers.... or so the theory goes. It might be smart to apply to both, or all three?

yep, apply to all three services. As above, the Army has the largest medical department. I'm in contact with the local enlisted recruiters and the Navy medical recruiters a couple times a year due to my job. Medical staff corps accessions in the USN right now has a big need for physicians. The nurse numbers are good according to them. Scholarships are still offered of course but are very competitive as are the rest of ROTC opportunities.

I definitely agree with Kinnem on widening the net, unless being in the Navy is the number one criteria for your interest. If it is serving as and Officer and a nurse then giving yourself more opportunity is a good idea and no one will look down on you for applying to multiple branches. I don’t know what the number is for Navy nurses but when number six have been thrown around last few years it has been a small number. I don’t know what the Army number is, but it is much higher. Good luck to you!
