Plea for help.. can anybody give me an average of how many holds make it? Or if they go to prep school? How can i make my app more competitive? I am a reapply in college who earned an loa last year...

What I can say is that I found out from Admissions today that KP is taking in only 244 into the class of 2016. The other service academies are cutting back too. With that said, there may be people who have gained appointments, but do not sign their letter of intent (acceptance of their appointment). These spaces open up and will be filled. Contact your Field Admissions Representative and let them know you are still very interested. Another words, "plead" your case. There are entries in this forum website which explain in great detail what you need to get into KP. Best for you.

wow!

Wow! 244? Yikes! I think 2015 had about 285 in their class... but 2014 was a bigger class with approx 350. (I'm not positive on the exact numbers tho.) Good luck to you!

240 was the number that the football coach at the Coast Guard Academy gave me for their incoming class of 2016, with a hundred seats already handed out for early admission, and 50 going to the prep school, and the new superintended wants the balance to be 50-50 female / male for the remaining spots. He said he misses the days of 300 to 320 for the incoming class .He sounded a little frustrated that the Mariners would be eating the Bears for lunch for a long time to come.

Keep the faith

Congratulations Navy4!!!! Welcome to the family. Fingers crossed for
those still waiting.

lax keeper,
Answer these questions:
1. Do you have a chair set up by your mailbox?
2. Do you have a well worn path traveling from your door to your mailbox?
3. Is you postal carrier starting to look frightened, with his hand on his pepper spray, when he/she sees you?
4. Has the carrier begun to throw your mail ( much like a newspaper boy) at your mailbox without even stopping?
5. Do you now know your letter carriers name and does he/she think your SAT's are "good enough"?

If you answered yes to one or more of the questions above "'welcome to the stalkers club". There are some great posts about this subject ( probably where I stole all this material) buried in the forum somewhere. It will give you something to do at night to find them. There is also an excellent letter regarding a recovery program for all affected ( effected?) by the stalker syndrome. I think that one may be in the AFA site? I cant remember but will try to hunt it down for you. :thumb:

Its like my prayers have been answered!!!!
