NWP vs. Randolph-Macon Pros and Cons

Any FFS receive Appointee event invitation in April?
I just got one a few minutes ago actually, I was coming on here to see if anyone else got one. It said it was an appointee invitation for class of 2026 which is confusing

I currently have not received an email though I wish to sign up for the last date so hopefully that will be open.

It seems a lot of people are having trouble signing up, including me  so you’re not missing much
Always love a good patience test 😂. God enjoys giving them to me! I'm meeting with my future sponsor family ( academy grads and they live in the area. Set up to sign the paper work when it comes) that week too and already set up school plus work for march 11th ( including travel time). However I can't control it. What can control is getting school done ahead of time. Worst case I have two weeks worth of work done.

Hopefully I can convince my parents to take me but either way it's all good I've already been there a couple times

Love my team. Someone else got the link and sent it to me. It only worked because I'm in the system already as an appointee. See everyone March 11th

Did your email specify it was for Falcon Scholars or did if also offer the in-person options?

My son got that same email.

I got a Falcon scholarship too. Is there a place I can call and talk to the other Falcons on their way to NWP?
I recommend setting up a thread for FFS to post their acceptances under the Service Academy Prep Schools discussion similar to last year's class. It was helpful to begin making connections. Someone from your class will eventually take the lead and organize a group chat. Posting outside of the USAFA Discussion will also help connect you with future classmates going to the other SAs. Good luck and congrats.

Here is NWP Class of 2021

Good idea, I'll make a thread

I just got another email that was an invitation to a zoom call with all 5 prep schools. They said at the bottom of that email that the appointee visit thing was mistakenly sent to FFS and to ignore it.

All of your options are good. My daughter went to NWP and is now part of the class of 2024. I did notice even several years ago that NWP website was outdated but don’t let that bother you. The Durbecks have a process that they have followed for years that works. The main difference between NWP and the other choices is at NWP it is only one semester, then you attend another school. My daughter for the second semester went to our state university and had a chance to be a traditional student for one semester. This was actually good because she now hows a comparison to her academy experience and the state university experience. She tells us many times that she is in the right place.
