Did anyone get the oath on video? It was such a great weekend.

No, USMMA midshipmen do not get paid while at school. While at sea they are paid a nominal salary by the various shipping companies.

wouldn't it make sense that the midshipmen get paid because they are in the already commissioned into the military. At the other SA's(not sure about CG) they get paid but are not commissioned until graduation.
 
While it is true that nobody receives their commission until they graduate, the other academies are sworn into active duty whereas KP mids are sworn into the reserves. As active duty personnel the cadets/mids from other academies are paid a salary. This also explains why they wear a National Defense ribbon and KP mids do not.
