October Board?

He listed Villanova as his first choice because he felt he has the best chance of acceptance there and his other four choices were more competitive.

what does no change in status mean? mine still reads "Application has been submitted online Your electronic application has been received and is being processed ...
Your application is at Naval Education and Training Command for final processing and selection determination. Selection decisions will begin in late August and continue until the end of April. Once a selection decision has been made, your new status will be reflected.'
am i at the right site?

Folks, keep in mind it sometimes takes a few to even several days for all the updates to be made so you can see them on your status. If you see no immediate change in your status yet, do not give up hope. I would say if you see no status change by the end of next week, then you should assume you've been reboarded and will be reviewed by a subsequent board. ALso, keep in mind that it's always possible that you could be waiting until April to hear that you have (or haven't) received a scholarship. Patience. It can be a long wait. I know it's nerve-wracking having gone through it, but that's the way it is. Be working your alternative plans in the meantime. That should keep you busy and keep your mind off the scholarship (somewhat).
 
AROTC?

Has any heard anything about AROTC scholarships? I've seen activity for Navy, but nothing yet for Army. Just curious...

There is another thread called "October 15, 2012 AROTC Board", you might want to check that thread from time to time, if status changes are happening that thread will start to get real busy.
 
So I'm still assuming that their has been no changes in status for anyone for AROTC?
 
No, DS status still unchanged. Looking through the archives of this site from past boards, it seems this past Friday would have been the day to see updates. We're hoping today might be the day.
 
Haven't heard anything on the East Coast either and school is closed so I've been checking every hour. Last year results were posted 10 days after the board met, today is day 14 so they are clearly taking longer this time around. Good Luck to everyone else.
 
This waiting to hear something is so stressful, I try not to worry as a parent but man, these next few months can make such a big difference in the future of a kid's life. I am assuming the storm has probably delayed things a bit.
 
If this year follows the trend of past few years, results from the first board could start coming toward the end of this week or early next.

Based on previous years the lowest number of scholarships are awarded from the first board. The best thing applicants can do is hope for the best and prepare for the long haul.

Yes Cadet Command is at Ft. Knox, Kentucky

The Board met long before the storm hit, now it's in the processing stage.

They may be waiting to release the information until they feel everyone can get it, since a few Million people are without power on the East Coast.

Cadet command sometimes works in Mysterious Ways.
 
I agree with Jcleppe, they are probably waiting until there aren't 1.8 million homes without power, and maybe more homes still to lose power due to the blizzards going through WV, OH and PA.
