% of USCGA Waitlist Accepted?

Hi Everyone!
I was just curious if we know the past/current percentages of how many people on the waitlist end up getting offers. Or another way to ask is...How many cadets end up turning down their offers from EA/RA? Some years appear to not have a waitlist at all.
 
It depends on the year. For class of 2024 I believe there were none taken. It all depends on how many applicants accept. If the acceptance rate is high few are taken from the waitlist. That being said it’s better to be on the waitlist than being outright denied. Being on the waitlist means you are qualified but you don’t have a slot.

I think there is always a wait list. It just varies each year how many are pulled off of it. Like @SurferGirl said, I don't think any were pulled from the wait list in 2024. But they are a much smaller class (started out smaller and have lost more than usual) and covid may have influenced how many were accepted. Last year quite a few were pulled from the waitlist, some very late in the process.
