Armystrong97 and all other awardees congratulations. In the immortal words of Frankie goes to Hollywood... "welcome to the pleasure dome, your journey has just begun" ( go ask you parents, they will remember this quote). The formal letter will come soon, in it you will find your offical contract and other info. You have 30 days to sign and return the contract. Read it carefully, this is not a scholarship as much as a forgivable loan. There is No, repeat No disadvantage to signing the contract as soon as you receive it and sending it back. It will not change your chances with any SA or other ROTC program, they do not talk to one another. By sending your contract in quickly you will be put in the DoDMERB line ASAP. Getting your DoDMERB out of the way as soon as possible is important so that you can address any possible remedials and or DQ's. Also in your formal letter you should find a link to youtube on the proper PU and SU form, you will want to view it ofter and practice your form. Best of luck to you all.

Sheriff gave great advice in regard to getting it in soon if you already know which school your attending, gets you on the Dodmerb radar faster.
For those that did not get the good news, don't fret, one more board to go. Think of it this way, there are not a lot of applicants that have everything in for the first board. There are a huge number of applicants that make the second board, if you were rolled over from the first board you were now added into this new group and a new OML was created. The number of applicants that make only the third board will be no where near the number added to the second board. If your rolled to the third board you will not have nearly as many new applicants to compete with, if you have a solid application you still have a good chance.
From reading some of the posts from those that were not selected this board, you all sound very dedicated and willing to work hard. I bet if you are not offered a scholarship on the next board, you will all work hard enough to have the opportunity to get a scholarship from the battalion, it happens all the time to good cadets.
