Official EA Mail Stalkers Unite Thread!

I think I'll just let him enjoy skiing with his friends, wouldn't want to distract the snow board at 50mph with thoughts of what it could be..........remember the "bubble wrap" recommendations after receiving the package?

I could just SCREAM! My wife ask how I could be so calm. I told her that his little brother and I slapped high five until our hands hurt, jumped up and down, and got all tickled at the finger tips! I've only looked at the package about five times this afternoon. It still looks the same. You don't think that's excessive, do you? :yay:
 
Well, the other day while looking for a deferral letter from the Coast Guard Academy "because DODMERB said alternate" we got great news from Naval Academy Prep School that she had been accepted. I still kept checking the mail for the deferral letter and to my surprise there was a big white letter accepting her to the Coast Guard Academy Prep school!!! What an awesome surprise so does alternate also mean it Prep school not just deferral?
 
Officer- Keep the positive attitude that you always have. We joined the forum around the same time and I love reading your posts. I feel like we have been in the same roller coaster car together! I will be sending postive thoughts your way for good news in the new year!!!

FANTASTIC NEWS! I love surprises, and this is a doozy. Remember, prep kids usually end up being the class leaders because they already have that wonderful experience. -officer
 
Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Son got his thin white envelope on Christmas Eve, was bummed out but got better when he realized it was not a rejection. The night turned out great; there were other reasons to celebrate.
The EA had some really tough competition, congrats to all who got accepted! Quick question for Objee: Out of the 975 EA, how many were actually rejected and not deferred?

And another question to Objee if DODMERB said Alternate and she got Prep school? I thought that if your status was alternate than you were going to be deferral? So we kept looking for the deferral letter????

No EA applicants were rejected this year...everyone was deferred and will have an opportunity to be reevaluated during RA if they submit updated information as requested in the deferral letter.

EA applicants who received CGAS appointments are still being deferred to RA in order to reevaluate them for an appointment to 2014.
