Official EA Mail Stalkers Unite Thread!

My son received his Conditional Appointment yesterday! My heart skipped a beat when it arrived because it was in a regular letter size enveolpe and not a BIG FAT one! He's just waiting for DoDMERB to review and approve his medical!!! Exciting times ahead!

I don't know if her Oct 24th ACT scores were in time for EA review. How can she find out if they were?
So she'll send in her once again great fall grades, two more letters of recommendations, Volleyball and I sure swimming letter/awards. Hopefully the ACT scores didn't make the first round in time 30E/27M cause I think thats that on them.
Also it didn't mention anything in the TWE about resubmitting PFE which she took at AIM. Should she send a new set anyway.

Ladder-Please don't be discouraged; I have read many post and had many PM's telling me of kids who were deferred but then later accepted. And not all re-took the SAT's or ACT's. These kids had the average scores on their SAT/ACT's, and they just updated their file with current senior grades. I think your daughter still has a chance at this. Its so hard to keep their spirits up--not to mention Mom and Dad's too--but just keep truck'in and contact the AO to clarify her situation on what test scores they received in time, etc. Take care and I'll be checking on you for regular admission good news. -officer

JUST AWESOME! Yes, my heart would be doing the dance too. Larry Mullens is who you want if you have any problems with DoDMERB. You can search MANY posts about him here. Congratulations,... now go enjoy the best Christmas ever! -officer

Today I got a call from my step mom during school and found out that I have received a conditional appointment!!! Hopefully I get a waiver or a remedial! Good Luck to everybody, and I hope to see ALL of you on R-day!!!:thumb:

CONGRATULATIONS! :thumb:

Congratulation to everyone who has already received the "big" envelope!

Instead of joking about putting garlic around the mailbox, maybe I really should have! Son received his "thin" deferrment letter from CGA. Needless to say, he is very disappointed. I've read him some of the encouraging posts on this forum to others who are deferred (thanks, especially to trackandfield...he really appreciated your insight, having been there).

So, now again, we are in waiting mode. He will do as the letter suggested and send his first semester grades and update any awards, etc. Keeping our fingers crossed for good news in the New Year!

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting to hear!

Congratulations also to everyone who got a big envelope, my daughter got a deferral letter, she was upset but after the initial rejection she is determined to update her file and keep going. Thank you for the post with the words of encouragement.

No news today.. I have to admit, I rearranged my lunch time today just to come home and check:redface: Keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow and hopefully good news!

I drove my entire family nuts running to the mailbox last year. And my friends. And my neighbors.

You are in good company. Many more will still be waiting in March, so if you get it early you are one of the very few. If you have to wait, there will be many on this board to help you pass the time.

Good luck tomorrow!

Very true...960+ EA applicants and we're planning to appoint less than 170. As many people have said in this forum, and is actually written in the deferral letter, a lot of EA applicants will receive appointments under Regular Admissions.

I did my box trot today. Found a really cool card from Adidas advertising the new 'official' FIFA 2010 South Africa World Cup soccer ball that 'every team needs' and is now available for purchase. It was holographic!:thumb:

But no letters.....yet....maybe tomorrow?

So we are waiting too

But have seen nothing yet . For those who have received letters where do you live and when did you get envelopes? We are on the west side of michigan.

Wondering about LOA

My son went to AIM this summer and received a letter stating provided he stayed eligible all he had to do was compete is application by November 1. He completed the application but he hasn't received anything yet? Should he have gotten something by now. Maybe we read the letter incorrectly?

Congrats to all with fat envelopes! Nothing here yet, and 170 from 960+???? We'll probably be RA. Sounds like we'll be in good company : )

Oh, I just love this saying: "box trot". I think I'll adopt that one. Last night I had my moment of feeling sorry for myself with my M&M's. but after some discussion with the Big Man Upstairs, I'm much better today. We'll get through this gang, and it really has been such a lifeline to talk with all of you. Stay cool--stay wet--don't let those gills dry up as we say in our house.-officer

hi guys i have been reading this forum for a while but decided to resister today. i am currently enlisted in the CG and waiting for my Academy package just like all of you. the wait is very hard because i work 2 on and 2 off so im not home everyday to check the mail:thumbdown: hang in there

Still waiting..... Now I'm wondering if I missed it. Or if it's laying on the floor at the post office. Or maybe it fell out of a plane over California and Tom Selleck is delivering it personally. Hey I have an ACTIVE imagination. It could happen....

I'm sure it means NOTHING (good or bad) that we are still waiting. But I will continue to analize the situation just the same...
