Objee said most won't even be mailed until the 15th or later, I believe.

Breathe...you can do it. I know it's hard...we waited twice. Wish I had words that would make it easier, but they don't exist.

Got the dreaded deferral letter today. Disappointed by definety encouraged by all your comments. Now the waiting game begins again until march/april. good luck to everyone else, hopefully that nice thick packet comes in the mail soon!
 
Congratulations to those who have gotten early and conditional appointments. And for those deferred -- stay the course. I've had the pleasure of meeting some of my daughter's 2012 classmates, many of whom were accepted for admission only a few weeks before R day 2008. Once you report, it no longer matters who was admitted EA, deferred or whether a cadet was offered appt 1st year, 2nd year. The only distinction my daughter made was that her shipmates that had the extra year of prep school or previous enlisted were in many ways more prepared for the 'routines' of swab summer and military environment.

For those still waiting, patience. My daughter was admitted EA but received her 'package' only a few days before Christmas, several weeks after many had posted their good news on this same forum.

Wishing all Happy Holidays and as others have said, enjoy your (or your child's) last year at home!

Your words mean alot and son is still determined to get his appointment...I just hope he's not one of those that gets the call a week before R-day...although, he wouldn't care...he'd be thrilled!

If you were to be offered a spot at NMMI as a scholar, when do they do this?

I believe that scholars are looked at during RA. Someone more knowledgeable than me about it can probably answer this question for you. JCollins?

Has anyone received their notifications from USCGA?

Next week the letters should be arriving...Am I correct?

We are still waiting to here too. We just got back from a swim meet and found out my son received noms to Navy, AF, and WP. Honestly, we are happy, but our hearts are pineing for CG (#1 choice by far). I was looking at all the old posts, and most received their appt/deferral around 21st-22nd. So I'm just going to tell myself not to even think about it until the 18th or so. IT'S SO HARD.
 
Seems like alot of deferrals are being received right now. Maybe no news is good news for you!

Amen. It is the hardest thing in the world to wait for what you KNOW is the right thing to happen for you child. Keep busy. This time of year that shouldn't be too hard!

Will keep crossing fingers and toes for you and all those who wait! :smile:
 
Just heard of a couple more full appointments that were received in Saturday's mail. These were east coast addresses, so I imagine west coast addresses would be seeing some action in the next couple of days :thumb:
