Official USAFAPS (Prep School) Class of 2013 Appointment thread

I received my acceptance letter on Monday!!! I am prior enlisted (but still in tech school) at the Presidio of Monterey in CA.
 
DS has not gotten his LOA yet. He's here, on ;eave, but has people checking his mail for him, on base.

He did email his counselor, and she said not to worry. That they just went out, and he had plenty of time to respond. Whew!

I have a few friends over there right now! Plus I grew up on the other side of the Bay. It's definitely one of the nicest places in California.

2012 - It is recommended that personal computers not be brought
2013 - We recommend you do bring a personal computer


Laptop or Desktop? Interesting that the policy has changed from 2012 to 2013? I can just see preppies walking into I-day with a desktop under one arm, and the monitor under the other :-/:shake:

I noticed this too.

I'll just bring my personal laptop I guess.

hmmmm... but, you won't be able to connect to their wi-fi/network... I guess you could use it as a paperweight???:yllol:
 
There is also a discrepancy regarding the Immunization form.

The memorandum on page 36 states that both priors and direct entry selectees need to fill out the blue immunization form and fax it to the AFAPS.

But on the Prior's Checklist (Page 192) the Immunization Form has been removed from section B and section C says to bring the official Immunization Form 2766C.

But, but, but I have a 30" monitor... How am I supposed to carry this thing in?! Haha :smile:

If we're supposed to bring our own desktops, I'll probably have my shipped in from my parents if they'll allow it... If we're supposed to bring laptops, I don't have one. :confused:
