Oh, the waiting!!

Still nothing here in Nebraska. DS received TWE from USNA last week, but we remain hopeful.
 
Hang on RunninBob, my DS received his appointment in April last year. I noticed your from NE, my Cadet and I are huge Husker fans. Need more Huskers at the Academy.

We are still waiting in Texas. Does it mean anything to be waiting for notice this far after April 1??

No BFE...No TWE...just an empty mailbox :biggrin:

Sadly we are anticipating the TWE after all the TWE's last week! (USNA and USAFA)

Plan B is lined up (still needs a little work), but DS is in a good place and we are extremely thankful.

I am so sorry for the TWE's and congrats to the BFE's. Most of all, thanks to all of you young folks who want to serve our country!

we received the TWE dated 4/6 today.....DS took it well.....good luck to those still in the hunt and those with BFEs.....For those that get the TWEs (over 4200 in total), you all are amazing and good luck with your plan Bs.......signing off from Alaska....

BTW...we're located in NY and you just never know when it's going to be THE Day!! Ours was 2 weeks prior to RDay !! :thumb:
 
Empty mailbox again.....more waiting. I am under the impression that the 15th is the day we will all be notified by. It can not come soon enough! DS is handling this much better than I
 
My DS received the bad news today (TWE) what a shame, on to plan B. Good luck to the rest who are waiting.
 
It is a shame many are not invited. We are waiting through our second year of twe's. I feel your pain. Good luck with plan B.
 
Any information your could share with us Objee would be very helpful and very muc appreciated. Thank you for all your efforts to keep us in the loop!

We still have an empty mailbox here in Orlando :bang: Not sure if that's a good sign or not....we just have to sit tight and stalk another day!! :thumb:
 
I received an email from my DS' AAP this morning. My DS and I have become good friends with him during the admissions process. Here is his direct quote (copy and paste from my email):

"I got word from the Academy that they are still deep in the midst of reviewing applicants all through this week…meaning, through Friday the 15th…

It is my expectation that they will push out the ‘final’ list then sometime early next week and I am monitoring…"

So, it looks like some notifications may not go out until next week. DS is on Spring Break next week and we are staying home, so he can stalk the mailman instead!:wink:

First, let me send out the positive vibes to all you waiters. It is hard.

Our daughter received a Scholars appointment package last night. (yay!!) She was not expecting that outcome. Think she was expecting a denial. She was quiet in her reaction and spent a lot of time reading last night. We welcome any links/comments or suggestions for further reading that we can pass on to her for her review.

I'd love to put her in touch with another girl who is attending Scholars Prep at Marion or who has finished it. I think she'd like to hear about it from a someone who has finished it or about to.
