Oh, the waiting!!

I have been waitlisted today in CT...Can anyone offer any helpful advice to possibly end up recieving an appointment?

Thanks,
Matt

Give your Admissions Officer a call and let them know if you would take a Scholars appointment. Last year they did not take anyone off the wait list not sure how this year will shake out. If you made it to the wait list that's ok. At least they are showing some interest and your chances may be better next year. Also if you can afford it you may want to consider self prep at MMI. Don't be bashful to call the Academy every so often. Good Luck.

Whoot Whoot. DS received BFE today. I thought I was numb to any emotion from all the waiting, but he called me at work today (April 16)to give me the news, and I yelled out loud. Lots of ups and downs on this journey but in the end all worth while. Good luck to all who still haven't heard. I look forward to meeting the rest of the class of 2015 and their parents on June 27.:jump1:

Congratulations!

 I know you're proud of your son. The journey may have seemed long, but it's really just beginning! Now it's on to all the details leading up to R-day!!

Excited in Oklahoma

DS recieved a phone call today from the basketball coach letting him know that he has received a PREP SCHOOL Appointment to MMI. When he returned home from school there was a Federal Express Package waiting for him. He is on cloud 9 and excited about the road ahead!!

Congrats to son and yourself! The start of a long but rewarding journey. Best of luck!:thumb:

keep focuse on your goal whatever it might be

To all those with appointments good luck, to those that did not make it the first time take heart. Our son did not make the cut first time and went to MMA as a plan 'B' and then reapplied. He kept active in sports there and sought out some other letters of recommendation from the staff and he was granted an appointment a year ago to the academy. The lesson learned for us was to keep trying, the first letter did sound so final, but the goal and the opportunity to try was still before us. "Through endurance we prevail."
