Ohio Nominations

Can't speak to either Chumez or HydoJim questions with any certainty....a.) depends on the mail delivery and if they were all mailed at once and b.) I'm given to understand that letters are also sent to those who did not receive a nomination form Sen. Brown.

Was just informed of my Congressional nomination by Rep. Tim Ryan to the USNA class of 2018. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
 
Maybe Senator Brown is sending out the letters to those who receive noms before Christmas and those that didn't get a nom will get the bad news after Christmas. :biggrin:
 
Just checked my mailbox and nothing from Brown but I received another nomination to West Point from Portman! :biggrin:
 
Since we know Brown and Portman meet, and if MosMom's theory is correct, then it makes sense that I didn't hear anything from Brown yet.
 
That is correct. In the initial letter sent prior to the interviews, Sen. Brown's office specially says that they coordinate with Sen. Portman and if you receive the nom from one, you will not receive one from the other. It also says a letter from the one you didn't get the nom from will be sent to the candidate explaining that as well.
 
My daughter received a nomination for USMA, USNA, and USFA. So happy! Now praying for that nomination!!
 
Congrats to your DD! I think you mean praying for "appointment" at this juncture but in any case, as has been often noted in this forum, the next 8 to 10 weeks will be the most stressful. The waiting game will try your patience and all you can do in the meantime is keep updating those files, continue doing the best you can and place your faith and confidence in the process.

What is everyone's top choice of school? (If you don't mind sharing)

My first choice is USMA.

Thanks for this thread. DS is nominated by Brad Wenstrup and Sharrod Brown. USAFA is top choice. Also waiting and praying for appointment. Nice to talk to people here. It makes the process much less scary. Good luck to all!

4boymom....your 'handle" says it all....4 boy. We're all in it together, and regardless of the outcome, I think its safe to say that we've got so much to be thankful and proud of with all these young men and women who have done so much and worked so hard in pursuit of a goal.

I'm proud of ALL of them and for the journey they've traveled thus far with all its up's and down's and continue to be amassed at the talent and dedication of these young Americans.

chumez, who did your DD get her nom from? My DS also got a "trifecta" listing in order on the letter USAFA, USNA & USMA from Rep Jim Jordan.

He got a rejection letter from Sen Brown but heard nothing from Sen Portman.

How does this affect primary or alternate?
 
Congrats to your son. My daughter got her nom from Rep Jim Jordan also. She also was rejected by Sen. Brown. She did not apply to Senator Portman. I don't know what any of it means. I try to read the boards to figure things out.

Has anyone seen their nominations show up in their portals? It's making me anxious not seeing them there. :confused:
