Son Is a freshman and an athlete. Looking at ROTC. Just wanna see if any has had or currently has experience with the program at Ohio State they’d like to pass on?
Agreed! He is truly amazing. I’ve found that the PMS and PAS (Air Force) that we’ve contacted all have impressive background and experiences.PMS is a pretty amazing guy.

Afghanistan Knocked Me Down - Faith Picked Me Up • The Havok Journal
On the 25th of April, 2012, I experienced a rare, but significant tactical defeat in Afghanistan. Since then, my career and outlook stem from the eventshavokjournal.com
The PMS who interviewed my DS impressed my young man so much that DS placed his 4-year ARTOC at this PMS's school as top choice in his scholarship acceptance letter. What I appreciate this PMS for was that he corrected some of my DS's and my own misunderstanding of ROTC vs West Point. Prior to the interview, my son's top choice had always been West Point. After the interview, DS said, he now has two top choices, WP and AROTC at this PMS's school, a "lottery" school by all means with <5% acceptance rate. Please keep in mind that even if the current PMS is awesome, the cadre at almost all AROTC battalions rotate out every few years.
It is more important to choose the best fit for the school, rather than seeking the best Army ROTC unit.
My DS had three different PMS officers during his four years of college, and he learned valuable lessons from all of them.
