Calling all people who have used ground transportation from JFK to to Bayside (2 train stops east of Great neck)

What ground transportation have you used, were they any good and what should I expect to pay, especially if it's a cab? Can I make a reservation for a cab ride? How is Uber out on Long Island?

Thanks for all your help. I've just got to take in one more KP graduation to support my friends and have fun!

Cheapest way to do it is by train. Air Tran to Jamaica, Jamaica to Woodside, Woodside to Bayside.

I was told by someone else that I could get the lirr at Jamaica which would take me to Bayside. True or not? It looks possible on the map posted on The JFK ground transportation site.

Guys your directions were awesome. I shall never wonder again! Very simple and so much cheaper than a cab. Graduation for 2015 was awesome, watching my friends' kids graduate, seeing the new pier (gorgeous), taking in the always moving Baccalaureate Service. Thanks again and I hope are all doing well.
