I got a physical in August 2021 and was 5'8 3"4 without shoes, so that's what I self reported on the DODmerb website. I got my DODmerb exam in February, and even though I said I could take off my shoes, the nurse said to keep them on when she measured me. She wrote me down as 5'8 so I guess she subtracted an inch/rounded down because of the shoes? Yesterday I was contacted because there was a "discrepancy" with my height and that my status was on hold until I cleared it up. They told me to get my school nurse to measure me and confirm my height in writing on letterhead, or else I would need to make an appointment with my PCP. Luckily my school has a nurse, but for those who haven't gotten their exam, make sure to take off your shoes even if they say it's fine.
