So I've experimented with marijuana once and drank a couple of beers. I don't recall if I disclosed this on my dodmerb form and am going to disclose it for my security clearance. Can I have it disclosed now for dodmerb without penalty?

You didn't retain a copy of your DoDMERB questionnaire?

Not going to get into drug use, but the questionnaire in both cases should really ask if you have abused alcohol. Does giving your kid a taste of wine or beer at 11 constitute alcohol use. In several Jewish religious ceremonies, the passing of a cup of wine and taking a sip is very common. Are you supposed to answer yes to that? Of course, what is abuse? Is having 3 cans of beer abuse or is passing out drunk an abuse. I guess at that point, its too subjective. However, having one beer isn't abusive.

Regarding alcohol, I agree with @Humey that one drink under parental supervision is not "abuse."

Single use of MJ as "experimentation" has in the past not been a barrier to passing DoDMERB, but failure to disclose can eventually come back to bite you on the SF86.

You should try to amend or correct the DoDMERB questionnaire.

Interesting point. I never thought about it. I had a brief glance over my DODMERB questionnaire but I couldn't find anything asking about alcohol. Perhaps they assume that if you have consumed alcohol you won't bother to report it and there won't be an easy way to prove your status?

It'll depend on if you stated "no" and now state "yes." They care more about the lying than the experimental usage.

These are systems that do not talk to one another. Press on with what you are doing.

I was going to say... the investigators looking at a SF86 aren't going to get ahold of a medical history questionnaire and compare answers.
