I have no AP classes so far in my schedule, and I am thinking about taking an AP class online. My guidance counselor said that this will not count on my high school transcript. Is this still alright?
my guess is that is a better question for the admissions office than it is for us here in the forums - the main issue i see with it might be that its not part of your HS transcript - but again call the admissions office or email your area's admissions officer
My DD ran into this same issue so she was able to take a class at the local community college and it was equal to taking an AP class. The bonus was she was done with it in one semester and had a free period the next semester do do something else.
